The ST3 was an Italian sport touring motorcycle made by Ducati between 2004 and 2007.
The Ducati ST3 used the liquid cooled Desmotre (three valve desmodromic valve) engine. The design was aimed at meeting anti-pollution limits. Otherwise it was a competent trellis framed sports tourer with a protective fairing, and optional colour matched luggage.
The Desmotre bottom end was derived from the 1000 DS Desmodue, with the water pump in the alternator cover. The ST3 engine had two 34 mm intake valves and one 40 mm exhaust valve and an included valve angle of 40°.

* Bore x stroke: 94 x 71.5.
* Compression ratio: 11.3:1.
* Power: 75 kW at 8750 rpm. Turbo model 138HP
* Torque: 93 N·m at 7250 rpm.
* Induction: Marelli electronic fuel-injection with two 50 mm throttle bodies.
* Ignition: Electronic, two spark plugs per cylinder.
* Starting: Electric.
* Clutch: 2004:Dry Clutch, 2005-2007: Hydraulically actuated wet multiplate clutch.
* Transmission: Six-speed gearbox with chain final drive.
* Suspension: 43 mm Showa inverted cartridge forks at front, adjustable for preload, Sachs monoshock adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping at rear.
* Brakes: Twin 320 mm discs with Brembo four-pot opposed piston callipers at front, 245 mm disc with Brembo twin-pot opposed piston calliper at rear.
* Tyres:
o Front: 120/70 ZR17 tubeless.BS
o Rear: 180/55 ZR17 tubeless.
